LOL, I'd rather not destroy my snow tires. ^_^ But good suggestion... I could put slicks on two of the 16s up front and spares on the back.

^^ i know, ST's have decent torgue to work with. do you have any probs with 2nd gear lockout when speed shifting??? i know i do! i lost to a turbo metro in the 1/8 behind that shit :o(

but if you're an editor with a couple hours with the SVTF, you're not going to be able to coax out it's launch technique. it definitely takes some TLC and practice.

Do you mean speed shifting as in power shifting? Or is that something different? I haven't gone to the strp, but the one time I did powershift, I didn't have a problem. Usually third gear is the finicky gear with the mtx75. Its placement isn't perfect. I've never had problems with second though.

Every SVTF has that problem. The rear motor mount helped reduce mine a lot but it still happens occasionally.

Yeah, two of my runs I was locked out of 2nd. Pain in the ass! I will soon have a rear mount and Synchromax, so that should help the issue.

Duffman, the ST runs faster than 15.3 or 15.9?

My other two runs that I didn't miss 2nd on were 15.681 @ 92.13 (2.435 60') and 15.586 @ 92.40 (2.482 60'). I was shifting somewhat cautiously, though.
