I was going by zx3's dyno chart above, so if someone's car is modded then the actual numbers will be different (but the principle still the same).

In the end anyway, the proof of the benefit of shifting at a higher rpm for racing is in the time slips.

Question: Have both you and Ripped tried shifting at 6500 rpms and then at 6000 rpms at the track?

Was there a difference?

I always shifted at exactly 6000 rpm, maybe I should have gone higher ...

I used my stock dyno and those are the number I came up with.

I haven't actually "officially" tested the difference. But next friday when I go back to Ennis(1/4 Mile) I'll test the 2 out and see how it goes.

i must say, i like the ST's! one whipped my butt at the tcark my very first run. those suckers will move with some work done. i'd have to beat them on top end because i cant bottom end :o)

it all depends how modded the ST's are. i have yet to lose against an SVT. i've raced 3, one was very moded and still didnt catch up with me at all, i was still pulling him at XXX mph

good job sporadic...16.3 very respectful...my advice is take some air out of the front tires and work on different launching points to get that 60' to a 2.2 ...good job n good luck
