1.6 mile autocross and the SE Focus rocked

Econobox my arse!I took second place in class being beat by a guy with an SVT Contour and sticky tires. He drove good;went for a ride with him-almost barfed. If you have never autocrossed your Focus you are missing out on some serious driving fun!! I was faster than; a WRX,a Mazdaspeed Miata,a Neon, two Civics, two NB Miatas,an '05 'Stang and a 350Z Nissan(that guy can't drive).Oh what fun.Car is very neutral now with a controllable understeer.I have H&R sway bars,KYB struts,H&R sport springs, and 215/35/18" General UHP tires.4-1 header,2,25 flex, magnaflow with resonator,2.5"CAI and an Focussport SCT tune.Short throw shifter. Not really a lot of mods compared to some of the other cars at the event.I will change nothing on the motor as it is great, pulling strong through second all the way to redline.(Only hit it once) I will be going to a wider stickier tire though.I am looking at the Hankook rs-2's 225/40/18's.Nice sticky tire.YEEE-HAAAA!Can't wait till next time.

IF you want real sticky tires, though, you still can't beat the Azenis.

Great job at the race man!
