Whoa! It just struck me that we may be discouraging people from autocrossing their Focus. I just wanted to add that just because you won’t be winning a jacket at Nationals is no reason to not try autocross on a Regional level. It is the best way to hone your driving skills (many big time road racers started out in Solo II) and the Focus is a good car to learn in. Heck, some suspension tweaks and good tires and you could be quite competitive Regionally. As the Nike ads used to say: Just do it. I guarantee you’ll have a blast.

^^^ I couldn't agree more.
I finished 1st in STS, and 1st (tie) overall this year in MT Region 105 (90-100 members).
They just haven't figured out how to break the tie yet...

I am still here. I have decided to stick with the RX-8. Even though I have had a ton of recalls the last being the possible replacement of the engine. The 8 is just too much fun to give up. Minus the recall the chassis is possibly one of the best out there. I do thank you all for you input and knowledge and wish you all the best.

Yeah, I don't think I could go from an RX-8 to an SVT Focus. I couldn't convince my friend to do so. Maybe I can talk him into a 'Speed 3.
