1st solo cross meet just looking for some pointers

alrite so its my first time doing solo cross im just lookin for pointers along the lines of launching, and conering, and car prep the races r july 9th and my cup kit comes in friday so hopefully ill be all set thanks guys

have fun, just try to get through the course without hitting any cones your first couple runs, and ask people questions.

Ride with experienced drivers, and have them drive with you.

Also, it's either "SOLO" or "Autocross", not "SOLO-cross".'

Use all of the advice mentioned above.

The instructors and other drivers don't bite, so don't be afraid to ask questions.

If they offer a novice walk through, DO IT.. its VERY helpful.

Have an instructor ride along with you as much as possible. This helped me the most. Some will give you the option of them telling you what to do and when to do it, or they'll just be quiet and critique you afterwards. Some will do both.

And as for an instructor driving your car with you riding shotgun, DO IT.
A true example of how this can help you happened yesterday to a guy who had just gotten a new car, and was running slow. He was running 75+ second times. During the fun runs after the racing, he had an instructor drive his car, with him riding shotgun. He then drove the car after the ride along, and he got a 70 second time.
