It's official, Foci will be represented in the world of Autocross in the Lower Mainland (BC). I did my driver training course on Saturday, and I'm stoked on the next practice event coming up on the 21st.
Last season, an SVT / driver got really good, really quick, and had all the big guns pretty worried, so this year when I mention Focus everyone takes notice.
The Focus / I did really well, a couple of the instructors drove it and were impressed. Pretty good considering it is all stock, except for Avon ZZ1 tires 205-55-R15 on stock wheels, and a direct replacement K&N air filter. I have discovered that in the world of Autocross, big power will help you for about 20% of the course, while big handling will help you for about 90% of the course! So get your car out to the track! You'll be pleasantly suprised and smiling BIG!
Anyways, here's a pic of me goin fast, enjoy!
BTW, anyone want to learn more about Autocross, my car club has a website with a message board and a bunch of usefull links and information. www.vcmc.ca
