I take issue with their apex throttle discussion. The moment you've completed braking, you should be back on the gas. This doesn't mean mash the pedal, it means squeaze it the appropriate amount.
Slow in fast out is a good beginner concept, but ultimately you want to be fast in and out.

Ideally, you should be left-foot braking and NEVER come off the gas... And there are definitely times when you are just holding throttle through the turn.

Don't waste another minute waiting on parts, or anything else. Just get out there and start racing! You will suck at first, and you will be slower than many other cars, but the only thing you will regret is not starting earlier... |
