emission light

Been having a bit of a problem with my emissions light. I was driving down the hiway about a month ago and the light went on, not knowing what the light ment I pulled into the nearist ford dealer, where they told me it was just on emissions light and not to worry too much about it. After a couple a day the light went off so I didn't worry too much about taking the car in to have it serviced. But since then the light goes off at random it'll go on for a few days then go off for a few, then back on. Is it anything to worry about or could it be the fuel in the car (the only fuel I can buy in Whistler is ethonel blended), or should I take it into a dealer for service (nearist svt dealer is in Vancouver 200km away). Any input would be great.

could be that your cat ended its life... had that happen to my 04 already! the check engine light came on. no big deal unless you have emissions testing where you live (i do not)

I'll bet it is the O2 sensor. i just replaced mine Wednesday for that exact reason. On a side note, the almost stalling after first take off in the morning has stopped. So pray for warranty, or expect to pay $140 for the part and that much in labor if you let a dealer do it.
