lol i cut off my EGR, and removed my cat. i wonder if they'll still give me a fuel efficent tune, seeing as how my car is now illegal HAHAH

btw:

"And instead of neglecting the Focus as it has in years past, Ford has big plans to improve the design, engineering and fuel efficiency of the little car."

thems words i like to hear!

WAIT i just read this and said "what what what!?"

"That's when it plans to converge the U.S. Focus and the European Focus on the same platform"

i kinda doubt it. those are pretty big words coming from ford.

Great article. A lot of good info there! It'll be nteresting to see what the 2010 redesign will bring.

Speaking of which, I can understand why Ford needed a more "modern" name for the Escort (hence "Focus"), but would it really be neccesary to rename the Focus AGAIN? The Altima underwent a drastic change for 2002, and still retained the name.

2001 Altima - 2,851 lbs.

2002 Altima - 2,999 lbs.

Thumbs up 2006 VS 2007 MPG... The Answer

http://detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...608020385/1148

Along with some already known Focus news. 2 bar grille.... yuck.

Looks like I'll be taking my '06 in for a reflash!

2008 North American Focus

Thank you for posting the link to this article. Maybe the 2008 "refreshed Focus" won't be so bad after all. We should begin to see full pictures just before the Detroit Auto Show in January, 2007.

I wonder if they can update the computer on my 2005 ST for better mileage?

Thanks!

I don't see why not? Did the 07 ST MPG figures improve too? If so, as long as the '05 ST is the same as the '06 ST you should be good.
