That sounds like a good idea. Fun, excitinig racing marketed to young thrillseeker who perhaps don't know about the sport, in cars that they are likely to go out and buy. Sounds like a win for everybody.

thats pretty cool, atleast ill get to watch some rally this year come august. and it will give the sport more attention

I'm indifferent about it, but I guess it's a step in the right direction. But, um, who are the rally drivers? Is it going to be SCCA because I highly doubt any FIA WRC teams will be out there?

Not even SCCA does Rally anymore. That program got picked up by Rally America.
