two codes EGR I'm guessing...

I"m getting these two codes:

P0171 - System to Lean (Bank 1) The Adaptive Fuel Strategy continuously monitors fuel delivery hardware. The test fails when the adaptive fuel tables reach a rich calibrated limit. For lean and rich DTCs:

P1406 - DPF EGR Sensor Downstream Hose Off or Plugged While driving, the EGR monitor commands the EGR valve closed and checks the differential pressure across the EGR orifice. The test fails when the signal from the DPF EGR sensor continues to indicate EGR flow even after the EGR valve is commanded closed. Downstream hose is disconnected
So the EGR valve isn't working right.. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Have you checked to see if the DPF Sensor hose is off or damaged?

All the hoses are connected and the wiring conector is secure... Could the valve just be stuck?

Cracked header...

my FC header is cracked.. I believe this is what's causing it...

If you have any friends that work at a dealership or shop, have them hook up their scan tool and check the DPFE sensor. They are fairly common for failing.

I've been pulling the same code (P1406). This has happened before too, right after I installed my SVT header, then after I installed my blower. The first time, a new DPFE sensor fixed the problem; but the second time around, I put in a new DPFE sensor and its still throwing the code. Both my upstream and downstream hoses are in good shape, and are plugged pretty tight, so I was thinking that the EGR Tube might have some build up on the inside that might be causing the sensor to get a false reading.

Also, after I installed my blower, it started throwing the P0171 code, but a new fuel filter solved that problem.
