Exclamation Long Crank/Hard Start 2.0L And 2.3L Engine With MTX-75 Transaxle Bulletin

Hey everyone.

I checked Helms Inc for the Focus Manuals the other day and found this Bulletin there. I checked with my Service Advisor in Carrollton, TX and he called me back yesterday. It is a valid bulletin. Because I was starting to have this very issue. He told me to bring it in as soon as possible.

It seems that the Duratec 2.0/2.3L with MTX-75 Tranny's are starting to show a sign of Long Cranking times and Hard Starting. Over the last few weeks, I noticed this happening with my ST.

If you have a Duratec 2.0/2.3L with MTX-75 tranny and you are experiencing difficulties with this, check with your local Ford house. They will take care of it for you.

Dean

Not an official recall, I think TSBs it's up to the individual dealer/service manager what to do about it.

But it's a problem that's happened enough to bring Ford's attention to it.

That is not good customer service on their part. If they cared about their customers, they would've researched it and assisted you with it. My SA at my dealer always takes care of his customers.

Go to http://www.helminc.com

Look up the year and model of your Foci and chack all pages. It'll cast you $6 though.
