Rust!!! Help
Ok dumb question but here it goes. Anyone ever have the inside of their lugs rust? I cant get in there to polish it, and if i could it would probably rust back. What is a good way to keep them from rusting? Where did everyone get their lugs? I'm going to get more that dont rust. I think mine are from iCW, but its been a long time since I got them so that might not be right.

you could clean the rust out and then put some anti-seize in there.

The lugs that I got are still the factory equiped and I haven't noticed any rust on mine. It is possible that those are defective..

Yeah, those are locks...I've got a set on mine, and they have the smallest buildup of rust...I dunno, I was sorta wondering the same thing! So, if anyone else has any input?

I don't pretend to know anything, but that never-sieze greese stuff seems like it would do a ok job if you're worried about the lugs freezing on the car. Just my opinion. I have the stock lugs and a several of the caps have been stripped off, so with winter coming up I'll be getting a lot of salt and grime goo in the bolt/ lug thread area, but I'm not too concerned about it. I'm going to try and get some solid chrome lugs from Summit Racing in the Spring time.

do you just mean the top of the stud? If so, you could get a black testors paint modeling pin and paint the thing black. It will last about a year or so, then you need to redo. If it is actually the lug nut, then get a new set and wax them before you install them.
