SVT and auto-xing

Was wondering how the SVT performs in stock form in GS class. I will be participating in my 1st Solo2 comp this weekend and just found the class breakdown. Looks VERY competitive. I will not be very competitive (1st time ever) but want to see how other SVTs have done in class. Thanks for any input.
Mike

I had my first autox this weekend and I unofficially took first place in GS (it was a test and tune, not a points event).

I was up against another SVTF, an Audi A4, and a beat up BMW 3-series (I forget the exact model).

My experience is that you probably won't get out of second gear and to not be afraid of really driving hard. My first run was 56sec. and by my fourth run I had it down to 50sec even (best time).

Have fun! It's a great adenaline rush!

There are 3 entries with a Mini Cooper S and a Mazda 6. Ah well, I will have fun win, loose, or draw

ummm, every magazine article i've ever read says the SVTF runs circles around the mini cooper s . . .

I dont think the Cooper S has that much of an advantage over the SVTF...

The first focus I see is in 31st place, with a lot of Minis above it.

The results from 2003 are quite similar, first SVT Focus is in 29th place with numerous Minis and Celicas above that.
you sure that's because of the car and not the drivers? i'm just saying because well i have no doubt that any of the mini's cruising around here would spank me in the autox, but based on experience. most of the professional reviews place the svtf ahead.
