Lightbulb autocross or rally?

now my parents are letting my get taught by the porsche autocross teacher but i would like everyones input on which one you think is best

What kind of rallying would you be doing? If its the SCCA pro rally league, then i suggest you stay away from that until you can purchase your own car. Auto-x's are also fun, but way less dangerous and demanding on car specs and yourself. Rallying you have to worry about damage and its more serious, auto-xing is also serious but wont be nearly as tough as the pro rally for beginners.

From someone who has done some rallying, autocross is better. You will go through far less broken parts!

Yes, only rally seriously if you have a dedicated car. The occasional rallyx I don't see any harm in.
