Passenger CV axle

Well I have been reading the threads as I have seen many getting the CV axles from Rock Auto, OReilly's and Napa, right now I am not finding anyone that has it in stock and really not liking the Idea of the motor craft $250 price tag.

does anyone have any suggestions where else to look?

the inside spline count for the SVT 6 speed is 34 correct?

I bought the Cardone one from Amazon. Free freight makes it cheaper than Rock Auto! I almost always just pull the number from Rock and buy from Amazon. I'm a prime member so I even get 2nd day delivery with every order, but the axle should be above their free freight threshold anyway.

EMPI 802698.
I bought one there last August. It also got sent back when it failed a few weeks later at Atlanta Motorsports Park.

http://www.cardone.com/find-parts/ve...ocus&year=2003

Northern Auto Parts has it for 60 bucks but they charge a $60 core charge until you return the old one. If worse comes to worst you could send your old one in to Cardone and have it redone. Takes about a week.

the EMPI ones from Rock auto are the way to go. If you can get the stock replacement from motorcraft model number you can narrow down which one of the EMPI to get.

Sometimes with rockauto they have an item for our cars listed for a while, and then it goes away, but then comes back. It's all about their stock- what's in stock somewhere in the country.

I got mine from O'reilly's. The first one they ordered was for a non-SVT so I did the research and took them the correct part number and they had it ordered in within a couple of days.

Bought a driver side from advance. It broke while trying to launch the car one day. The axel was about 5 mounths old. Probably doesn't help that a have a jrsc on my svt though
