NA? Maybe. I am somewhere around 9 seconds. That is a guess due to my 1/8th mile being 10.2 seconds & 69mph.

Doesn't the duratec do 0-60miles 7.8 seconds or something close to that?

The 2.3L maybe. Six seconds to 60 from a dead stop is pretty quick, really. Like Mustang GT V8 quick.

6 seconds to 60 for a FWD street car is a pretty lofty goal. The new ST is tested at 5.9 seconds and has waaaaaaay more power than a Duratec will ever have without forced induction.

You would need serious weigh reduction in the rear and some ultra sticky tires up front.
An upgraded clutch/flywheel couldn't hurt and would probably be necessary after a few launches on the stock hardware anyway.

For a 94 Mustang GT maybe... LOL
(A new V6 Mustang will hit 60 just over 5 seconds & A good driver will hit low 4s in the new GT)

For reference of stock performance from a 2.0 duratec 5sp, here is the dynolicious run from my car
