Garage Door Opener - Visor Mount?

We have a 2013 SE 201A Hatch on order, and the only feature my wife will miss from her current car is the Garage Door opener built into her visor that controls up to three doors.

I guess this was standard on 2012 Ti models but no longer available?
Has anyone added this to a 2012 or 2013 Focus by ordering the old part?

I have searched Ford parts and can find the visor for about $102, but can't see which if any of them includes the opener. Also found an old thread on FF that had some info but didn't seem to indicate anyone had installed this successfully.

Anyone actually have this working?

There's a thread about this somewhere, I've seen it. They installed it succesfully, and get this, behind the headliner, they even found the wiring for it, so it was plug and play! I'm sure if you use search functions, you'll find the thread. There's a name for that visor, a trademark, that would bring it up fast, and I am having a senior moment and can't recall what it is.

Found it! It's called "Homelink" and here's the thread:

Don't be shy about giving a bro a +1 on the rep for finding that thread for you.

Hey offroad, the homelink visors are a self contained unit and are not tied to any other system on the car. If you have power up to your visor (such as an illuminated vanity mirror on the back of the visor) then the homelink is literally plug n play. If you don't already have power leads up there under the headliner, then just run a power and ground to it and your all set. Make sure the power you get is hot all the time so the opener will work all the time. You can get the programming instructions from ford in the 2012 focus manual.

Here is the manual http://www.motorcraftservice.com/?li.../12focog5e.pdf

Awesome, this will make my wife very happy.
The car we have on order will have dual illuminated vanity mirrors, so power should already be installed. Wonder if the mirrors lights are always hot or tied to ignition on?

If you check the other thread, you'll note that there is no reason to run the wire. The connector is there in all vehicles:

If you pull down the driver's corner of the headliner it is right there glued to the liner. it is near the door and not too far from the visor mounting hole. Soo I think if you pull the door seal and have the old visor out you should be able to pull the headliner down far enough to plug the new visor in

I don't have an s or a garage, but I think it would be worth checking before running a new wire.

One more question, if I search ford parts for parts for a 2012 Focus and part number: CM5Z 5804105 FA
It comes back with: 5 Door Sedan ; With Illum Single Sunvisor-Drivers, WITH HOMELINK; Marble

Are all the headliners for 2012 and 2013 Focus models (except ST) the same color?
The 2013 SE Hatch w/201A, we test drove had a light headliner and black charcoal leather seats.
Not sure what color you'd call the headliner, but on the parts description above I guess its "Marble"

Just want to make sure this will match since the part will be from a 2012 and the car we've ordered is a 2013.
Was planning on having it available when the car arrives so I don't have to give the wife my door opener.
