Need Some help with HP gains

Im looking to gain some hp out of my 2010 ford focus se. I was thinking a cold air intake, exhaust and headers and performance chip? Im not a big car guy so idk much about brands and what does what so i came here. What would you guys suggest as far as brands and even other items i didnt mention. And what kind of hp gains would i see? i only have 1500 so i cant go stupid crazy and get a turbo kit. Any help would be awesome!

From what I read on here, you seem to have it planned out already. As for brands, look at the vendors on here and decide what you want. There isnt much to choose from when it comes down to a few mods for our generation, but there are some choices. Also under this category at the top theres a few stickies with what bolt ons fit what. Look into those.

With $1500 you could get some pretty big gains. Maybe an extra 20-25whp at the end of the day depending on what route you take.

I would stick with FSWerks for the best experience. Otherwise you'll run into a lot of parts that may not fit precisely how you want or work as well with other components you may already have.

fswerks header : 400$
fswerks CIA : 250$
fswerks exhaust : 550$
shipping isn't inclued

after that -- toms tune : 399$ + 20$ shipping

1600-1700$ you should be able to have everything you need and you'll have quality products.

I have a magnaflow 2.25'' and a steeda SRI on my 2005 zx5 SES. I'll add a Tom's tune soon and a cosworth manifold next winter ;)

Just curious, what gains do you get with all that?

I've never been on a dyno but with my intake+ exhaust + tune, should be in the 8-10hp gain range. I don't want to say bullshit either eheh ;) My goal is to have 150hp on the duratec. The cosworth manifold will help too.

But with intake + exhaust you will have better throttle response, that's for sure. With a tune from Tom (FocusPower) everything will work better.

See here for a list of good threads to read (dyno included)

135hp to the wheels would be a nice and noticeable increase. Adding sts (if you have a manual,) stiffer lower engige/dog bone mount and a sportier suspension and you will have a new love/appreciation of your car, and a smile on your face.
