Well I thought I'd join the chorus of you guys who'd gotten dinged and hit and run by some d-bag. I got to wake up to this:

It's clearly my neighbor, who also drives a focus. Nice dent, silver paint left behind. Was parked obscenely close to me today. I confronted him, he denied. What can you do, it's my word against his really.

Funny thing is I washed the car last night and distinctly remember there being no dent there. Parked it, no one was beside me and our lot is access controlled. This morning there's a nice big dent.

What can't people just own up? Scumbags.

This picture confuses me. What am I looking at? Talk to your insurance? Kinda hard to prove it though. OR dent his car

It's probably only 300 to fix, with my deductible being the same, I could sue the guy in Small Claims but he'll likely argue I got the dent elsewhere. My word vs. his.

Since some of his paint is on yours, why not see if you can find the spot he is missing paint? This would be clearer and easy to prove.

Yeah the photo sucks, I'll try to update it after work. It's the dent but the paint is so reflective you can see his car in the background. The wavy part of the reflection is the dent itself.

Ya...it's really hard to tell what I'm actually seeing. Might want to back up like 5ft.

Also, tell the fool you'll call the police and see what he does. Don't just give in because the guy says "It wasn't me".
