Exploding manifold help

Bent valves, head redone car ran great. Boy flooded car plugged in block heater, tried to start car and the intake blew in half. Long story short car is back together and it just will not run properly. I have eliminated timing, vacuum leaks, tps, coil, iab valve as the culprits. I cleaned the MAF, I have the exhaust below the header off and it still runs terrible, which makes me think the cat is not plugged. Car is running rich, new plugs look moist, fuel pump kicks in. Would the 02 sensors not make a difference till the car warms up? I am pretty sure they do not make any adjustments till the sensors are warmed up Just do not know what could be causing the problem? No wiring issues that I can see, other than the pigtail to the coil looks ratty but i tested the plug to further down line and it seems to be fine. Off to find a code reader tomorrow and see what comes of that, any suggestions would be great.
The car will not hold idle and wants to die unless you give it gas. Even when you give it some gas it runs lousy.

Cam timing? Had a Nissan SR20 that was 2 teeth off and wouldn't run without the throttle half open, and ran even better (lol) when the air compressor was blowing directly into the throttle body. Don't ask me, I dunno why the hell we tested that.

Timing is bang on and VCT is set, new plugs as well.

could some of the manifold shrapnel gotten blown/sucked into the intake ports?

It's most likely that one of the rubber tubes was damaged. You should remove those and inspect them. One might even be loose, those can be a pain. The symptoms you're giving are typical of massive vacuum leaks.

I am ordering an intake in the meantime I pieced my old one together and thought i had it sealed up. Finally decided to yard it out and you are right there is a small leak along one of my joints. Just did not want to believe I missed it. Anyways looks like mystery solved and I will let you know how it goes

On the intake itself or one of the flexible connectors? CFM makes polyurethane replacements for those rubber parts that you might want if that's where the problem is.

Intake, as it blew completely in half, hard enough to knock the shift cable out of its holder. I think my son filled his pants when it went off.

LOL well they will learn eventually- right? Now you can teach him the importance of knowing the emergency start method in case he floods another EFI engine or needs to turn over an engine without using fuel.
