Toyota just can't catch a break. Not that they aren't responsible for their products, but still. 2013 was just starting to look up for them too haha

And yet strangely it doesn't seem to affect class-leading sales of the Camry and Corolla.

Toyota built such a rep for themselves, they can coast for a long, long time before people will give up on them.

And I just had the same thought about colors the other day... I was passing a traffic jam on the other side of the freeway, and it was a sea of white, silver/grey, and gold, with maybe a black here and there. As far as the eye could see. NO vivid colors at all. Blech.

I have owned several Toyota vehicles over the years and by far think the 1996 Camry was the best Toyota I have owned. I have owned a 2003 Highlander and a 2010 Camry and the quality cannot match the older Toyota vehicles.

My Mom had Corolla's for many years a 1981, 1991 which my Brother still has. A 1998 which she loved but got totaled by another driver, And now her current 2006 S. She has had zero problems with each one.
Despite the 06 being an automatic. I have driven it several times, and each time looking for the clutch. :-D.It is a very nice car and only has about 36K for miles.
