2002 ford focus auto 2.0l SOHC
Car will not start seems like its not getting spark. Checked timing and fuel pump its fine replaced battery, plugs, crank positioning sensor, and coil pack. (As you can see in the picture #4 appears to be burnt on old and there's cracks on side.)

I assume engine spins but won't catch.
Test for spark usng a proper inline spark tester to confirm the presence or absence of spark. You should also check to see if you have 12V at the center wire of the coil pack connector. It's an SPI so doing a commpression test should be high on your list of diagnostic tests. An engine with reduced or no compression on one or more cylinders will spin easily. |
