Flaking steering wheel finish?
Anybody have issues with the finish on the steering wheel flaking off? How willing was the dealership to repair?

yes and the question should never be how willing they are because they have to fix it. Others have had dealer successfully change it, but its not just that piece of trim.

This seems to be a very common problem.

It also goes way back, because 20 years ago I had a similar problem with an at-the-time 15 year old LTD.

Which means that Ford has had 35 years to fix this and hasn't managed to do so.

Can you post a picture? Im pretty sure my SEL has the same wheel as your Ti, and mines been flawless, it's actually one of the things about my car i love the most.

Mine flaked off too, early this month I had it replaced, but they replace the whole airbag assembly when they do it, no charge from the dealer.

holy crap...this is quite the coincidence...today I was wiping down all surfaces of my car and noticed white specks that I could not get off

was this the flaking described??
