Not sure where to put this, as there is no transmission sub forum, so please move this if it is better suited elsewhere.

I'm looking into getting a LSD and racing clutch (FSWerks stg 3), and was wondering if there are other options to beef up the MTX while I have it apart.
Looking for things such as a SS clutch line, heavy duty synchros, etc. Or any other weak point that the MTX may have in it. I know they're solid trannies, but I want to make it bulletproof.

New gearsets are probably out of my budget, but for the right price I would happily swap out for some optimized dog gears (sound is no issue to me), but I can't find anything for less than a couple grand.

One person claimes to have better sync. but a customer installed a set because of rally racing and they went out just as fast as the stock ones and were very costly

You can do a 4.06 gear set but adding the LSD and checking your sync. is about all you can do

Not really a lot to do for the MTX75, you could go searching for some quaife gear sets, or for the same costs you could have a pile of spare transmissions.

3rd gear syncro can be weak, I had one fail, but I place most of the blame on the ebay shifter the previous owner installed in the car.
