Clutch
Whats the chances that a Focus will not pass inspection if the clutch safety switch is not working and I am waiting on a new one? I have it bypassed.

I don't know Texas inspection laws or processes. But those laws vary from state to state, so it's best that if you check with locals or other Texans on that. I am going to move this to the Texas sub-forum so you could get a better answer than the general opinion. But then again, you can always find this out by checking with your state inspection officers as well.

I seriously doubt that's an issue. The checked lights, brakes, wipers, and horn on my cars and called it good. Even with DARK tint on both cars. Maybe I just found a good car friendly shop to get inspections done, though...

i don't have the clutch sensor anymore.. (i have Remote start installed on my svt)
no issues.. all it does is A) allows you to start the car b) kills cruise control no ill effect from removing it..

I can tell you being that i am a licensed sate inspector, most inspectors wont recognise it. And its also not against any rule

it can "techincally" be a safety issue.
but 99 out of 100 inspectors would have no clue it wasnt there.

Alrighty :D I got my car inspected today. :) He tried to turn me away because he asked why it wasnt inspected since Nov. Told him been in shop getting new clutch put in which is hard to find BTW. so he said drive it for 100miles until i pulled up my OBD2 Bluetoot and showed hit it would pass.
