Park assist lines dissappeared

Since I've gotten my Ford Focus Titanium 2013 model I've been backing it up into my parking spot at home. I've gotten used to the lines showing up and showing my when I turn my wheel my path.

Last night I got home with the family and backed it up and noticed that the lines wheren't there. I thought it was a fluke so today I decided to test it again. I drove around the block and came back home. When I put it in reverse - the lines weren't there. The boxes are always there but the lines didn't show up. I tried turing park assist off and on and all it really did was shut off the beeping when I get close to another object.

How do I get the parking assist lines back? Do I need to take it to a dealer?

That doesn't have anything to do with the stereo. And yes you should take it to the dealer

I thought this forum section was also for SYNC and electronics. Figured it would fall into that catergory. Hence I posted in this section.

Is there a way to reset the electronics in the car to factory defaults?

I was having this problem as well. I kept having to go into setting --> vehicle --> rearview camera and turn the active + fixed lines back on.

Another fellow in the MFT thread told me he noticed that the option was getting deleted when he put the car into reverse before MFT had fully booted up before putting the car into reverse. I have been making a point of not reversing before the screen is fully booted and I have not had that issue since.

Ideally, the software should not work this way, but . . .

That did the trick! Will keep that reversing tactic in mind for the future.

I guess thats what we get for using microsoft software in our cars....

Well the trouble was since park assist is on the information screen I though that the guidelnes would be there too. Makes it complex where settings are in two places.

Anyone else having a hard time typing with Big Body's avatar bouncing all over the place? ;)

The one in the information screen is for the backing sensors that beep at you when you get close to something.

Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 using FF Mobile.
