I'm a music fan of all types. Rock, Rap, Pop, and some country. The factory system just doesn't seem right. I've heard about disconnecting the center speaker for equal sound but don't want to bother about doing it.

I do plan on keeping factory head unit and I do plan on keeping my amps hidden in factory location.

I really like Rockford Fosgate since I've always used in my personal vehicles but I've used many brands in different people vehicles when I install their system.

Here is my list of parts I will use:

LOC:
AudioControl LC2i

Amplifier:
Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 (4 channel) for component speakers
75w rms x 4

Rockford Fosgate PBR300X2 (2 channel) for 10" subwoofer
300w RMS X1 bridge

Rockford Fosgate
T165-S 80 RMS or
P165-S 60w RMS

Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-10300w RMS 4 Ohm load

Building a box like this:


Dimentions:
H = 17"
D1= 20"
D2= 28.5"
w = 3.25

wood = .5"

Total internal volume = .457 ft3

Subwoofer internal vol= .05 ft3

Total internal volume = .407 ft3 which is right at the minimum recommended spec from RF's website. This box will be located at the factory spot with very minor fabrication to the trunk floor liner (straigh cut back to rear seat).

I haven't decided if I should use factory speaker wires or rerun 16-18 gauge wires for the door speakers.

Thoughts, ideas, opinions, or bash away.

Did you end up upgrading your audio setup? I have to say the factory system sounds pretty bad. Do you have MFT?
