Steeda SRI question...

Hi gang !

I have a Steeda SRI on my 05 duratec with a 3'' K&N filter.

When it's raining while I'm driving my Foci, water flows in the grill -- between the headlight and the plastic cover over the radiator.

Then it's going on the filter rubber base and at the bottom of it...

Is it dangerous for water soaking or it's not enough to do damage ?

thanks :)

here pics...

Wow, never had that problem. Wheres the steeda sheild? Plastic cover being the core support? Isn't there a rubber molding somewhere. Somethings going on there, cause I don't get water on my core support or behind the headlight.

I dont have the shield with it I bougth it without it and I add a k&N filter all the molding are at their places.. water drips are on both sides like that. There's a space behind the radiator and the sides of the grill so the water can go there.

I just lowered the 2 rubber screws in front of the engine bay that support the hood. Lowered them to the minimum. Now the hood sit flush on the moldings.

Hows it sit on the headlights? & is it even w/ the fenders? & can you pull up on the hood a little or not? Asking cause you might have to adjust the hood latch down just a little tad bit.

It sitting flush everywhere. It normal for water to go in front of the engine bay but for water soaking in the intake I dont think its possible

Finally ask a friend who works at a local ford dealer and he has two 2000 zx3 and a 2007 zx3 and he said it's normal for the water to go there because of the grill. Not a big deal because it,s only a very little quantity of water. Well thanks for the tips, I think will be okay.

I was worry because after the cash I spend on it, I don't want a blown up engine :P
