Z-Plan Pricing -- Bottom Dollar?
Hello: Looking for a bit of guidance on my first Focus purchase.
I am z-plan qualified. My local dealer gave me the following quote on a 2013 Focus Titanium with Titanium Handling Package, 300A equipment standard, black on black. I did not opt for the moonroof nor Navigation (just the MyFord touch that comes with 300A). MSRP: 24675 DLR INV: 23371 Z-PLAN: 22539 REBATES: 2895 MY COST: 19644 (doesn't include tax or tags). My zip code is 18925 Is that the best deal I can expect? Thanks! |

z plan is the best price available so it won't get any better.

I just purchased 2013 Focus Titanium with Nav and an additional cost paint , auto Trans . Doing the math from your car to mine ,I would say you got a good price. The rebates are the same. I went through Costco which was 1k under dealer cost. I was happy with the price I got. Mine was ordered and I was told six to eight weeks delivery.

Z-plan is usually only a couple hundred bucks over dealer cost (invoice minus holdback), significantly better than X-plan. I'd be flabbergasted if anyone negotiated that price without an A/Z plan. Be happy.
(Barring unusual circumstances, of course: dealers that tack on $1500 in fees, dealers that knock $2000 off to give you a "great price" while lowering the trade $3000, it's the last car the dealership needed to sell at the end of the year to reach the next bonus plateau, the owner is your uncle, etc.) |

I never never show them my trade in until I have a price for my new car that I
am happy with. They are ALWAYS two different negotiations. |

D-Plan is good, too; like $100 more than A/Z-plan.
I'm happy enough with the X-plan price. Certainly beats the $34k one dealer was trying to squeeze out of me for their Focus ST2. (And it's still "their" ST2...:)) |
