anybody have door sill guards?
just wondering if anybody has installed any S.S. door sill guards on their Mk3? i've seen a few different styles on ebay... i'd be happy to see any pics of yours and also any information of where you got them and how much...

I was thinking the same thing. A pity there isn't something a bit classier though, like an illuminated door sill.

well, unfortunately there aren't too many choices... i seen one or two styles on ebay that i kinda liked but there is no way i'm going to send my C.C. information over the internet to China or Hong Kong... just curious about what others have done...

i think i did see on ebay they had illuminated ones but i guess i can't be sure they were for a Mk3 or not...?

I like those better than what i have.

I have these, there were pretty much the only style available when I bought them.

SkyPilot, the set you got, what is that ring around the outsides of the sill guards? is that just a protective shipping edge guard or is that meant to stay on there... i really like the overall design of the set that you got but i'm not sure about the rubber edging around them?

its actually a plastic ring oddly enough. It doesnt come off once you see it in person you can tell its ment to be there. Adds a little contrast to the sill plates seperating them from the car itself.

rubber edging is to prevent metal on metal contact that would cause any kind of abrasion to the paint/metal on the door sill
