Snapped my shifting linkage.

So today while I was out doing a GoPro test I snapped my shifting linkage. YAY! Now I get to spend $350 to replace it! This wasn't a huge surprise to me because my linkage has been pretty bad for the last couple months and I was putting off the replacement, but I didn't expect it to snap on me. Anyways, I got it on camera . You don't actually hear the cable snap but you can slightly hear my gears grind if you listen closely. The thing that gives it away the best is the expression on my face after. Well, enjoy.

Dang man, you're the 3rd person having linkage issues that I've talked to today. Granted, your's are the only ones that had snapped... Mine suck (I think they're too short) and another buddy of mine said his went out this morning. Maybe they just don't like the cold? I know I can barely get into 1st or reverse in the morning when the car is really cold...

^this is normal when its cold, even after i fixed my sheared roll pin on the trans shifter and put new cables in it still happened. The gears just need to be synced when you first start it up, just run through the gears while it warms up, obviously with the clutch/e-brake on, as it warms up it'll get better

Yes I know that when its cold its a lot harder to shift but mines been like this since the end of august - early september. Well I think we can say we found the "weakest link", pun intended , in the SVTF. Seems to be more of a common issue than I thought.
