3rd brake light replacement source

All the bulbs in the 3rd brake light in my 2000 zx3 have blown. When I went to replace the bulbs I found that the bulb holder had melted. Probably the same thing that blew the bulbs melted the plastic. Anyway now the melted rail can short.
I have tried looking for a replacement on the web but I can only find L.E.D versions and I know they can cause the cruise control. Anybody know where I can find a replace part? Either the bulb holder or the entire unit?
Thanks

to FF

Ford Discounters has them for $65.00 for the OEM replacement lamp/housing

http://fordpartsdiscounters.com/focus-parts/

Check out Tousley Ford, Steve might be able to get you an awesome deal!
http://tousleyford.com/

I would also check out RockAuto, sadly I didn't find a high mount brake light on their site(they are usually very cheap)

Check out Speedway recyclers as well, they are the largest site for junked Foci:

Also, go to your local junkyard, you should be able to get one there for very reasonable too!

Happy modding!

Noticed in your info you were from Chandler, AZ, so i did a little search for you and found 5 Mk1 Focuses at your local Pick N Pull. You should check them out to see if you can come up with one. Their website says they should be $15.99.

I have an LED one from Ebay and my cruise works fine, been on the car for two years. I noticed you have a '00 and they're a little different in the electrical department compared to the later years; so it might not like the LEDs.

Thanks guys. I think the problem with the LEDs is the current draw is lower and is wrong for the cruise control canceler when you use the break so the cruise control won't even engage. Actually that's how I knew all the bulbs were gone in the brake light as the cruise control stops working. Which is also why I'm pretty sure an led wont work.
I found a local pick and pull that had some correct model fords. So I'm going to see what the got tomorrow
Thanks again
