2003 Split Port TPS question
The old one broke off and I'm putting the new one on. Is it just the flat piece on the throttle body that goes in the side of the TPS or is there another piece that goes in there? Also, are you supposed to wind the spring once before putting it on? I wound it once and it wouldn't start. I didn't wind it and it shifts hard.

Supposed to line it up so it engages B4 twisting it JUST enough to get the bolts to line up.
Some Ham handed folks line up the bolts and just shove it in, thereby breaking the new one! Obviously you're NOT in THAT category.... we're talking maybe an eighth of a turn here, just enough that it meshes right... |
