My Ford Touch Extended warranty and software update mailings

Just read a couple of articles stating that Ford has extended the warranty on MFT to 5 years and unlimited mileage.
They will also be mailing out (or downloaded) updates called MFT 3.5 next month to owners of non Navigation systems and in January for owners with navigation.

I hope mine gets mailed. For some reason syncmyride.com won't let me download the status checker tool (freaking dealership never reported the update!) or the updates.

Does anyone know if there is a way to notify Ford that I need the update mailed to me?

... now if only they would follow VW's lead on the DCT warranty...

Did you get 3.5.1 installed and the dealership just never reported it or do you actually need 3.5.1? If the former, just run a vehicle health report and it will update your version status on SMR to the new version. This is what I had to do as my dealership never reported the new version after I had them install 3.5.1.

Installed either way, a vehicle health report updates you SMR account.

Yeah, I'm just saying if he got it installed and it just wasn't reported (regardless of who did it), he doesn't need Ford to mail him a physical copy of the update just to report it.

If you have updated, you can simply run a vehicle health report and SMR should receive your update confirmation and adjust your status.

OOPS! I see that info was already passed on! Read ALL the postings before trying for the smarty-pants prize.

Definitely a step in the right direction. Now if they would extend the warranty on the DCT that would be great!

I'm thinking about doing the 3.5.1 update myself and living without Navigation for a month or two.
