2010 focus air in lines after brake job
Hey guys just had a rotor and caliper replaced on my 10 ses and we can not get the brakes to pump back up. There looks to be air in the lines still after bleeding that side but their aew no visible leaks or anything. Is there a special way that these brakes need to be bleed? Thanks. Eric

You should bleed each wheel Because you took off a brake line. Start with the rear passenger side them rear driver side next the front passenger side last the driver front. be sure not to let the master cylinder go to low I try not to let it get lower than half full.

Bleed all at brakes and still nothing no pressure at all and the car is pulling to one side when I apply the brakes.

everything has been bleed but still no pressure i mean i have a little bit of breaks but it pulls like crazy.

Then I'd start w/ bleeding the master cylinder then. Does brake fluild come out when you open up the bleeder screw?

How much new fluid have you used? An average bleed uses 12 to 16 oz. If you haven't used that much bleed again. Since a caliper was replaced double check all hose connections for tightness, kinking, etc. I'm assuming the new caliper is functioning properly (no leaks in piston seals and internal fluid passages are unobstructed). If this is the case, the problem may be the actual bleeding procedure and potential mistakes. What bleeding process are you using? |
