What would be a good selling price?

Im just trying to get some ideas on what my car would be worth selling it instead of trading it in. Im looking at getting a ST and they were only going to give me $11,000 for Trade-In which is less than what I owe still.

Honestly, check out NADA and KBB and see what you can get for it.
The problem with selling yourself is it can take months to sell! The dealers pay you less because they are willing to sit on it to make some money.

But sometimes you get lucky, I just listed my R6 for sale for $4k, the KBB/NADA value is like $3100, but the bike is MINT and decent mileage and well taken care of. Selling it tomorrow for $4k!

List it, see what happens and if you get bored of waiting then trade it in.

That's a very nice car you have. I would drive it until you're no longer under water on the loan. Maybe accelerate your loan payments to get above water faster. Then keep the car, because you'll take a hit trading for an ST. What you have and those mods really do look very nice.

honestly i don't think you would see 14k for it even with the mods. I see them retailing at dealerships for that kind of money around me. Id say maybe 12-13k if you found the right buyer. If not I would put the car back to stock and sell the aftermarket parts and trade it in. You can probably make 1k with those mods if you were motivated.

Man times are hard - you have a great car - keep it until the economy picks up!

Why sell it now when you are likely to be hit with a raft of low bidders.

Which temp you to sell it - then one week later you say - quote - What Have I Done?!

Fantastic car. My advice is to keep it until you are in better financial shape. Our cars are hassle free and just reading the 2012+ issues just make me glad I don't have one. Reliability will improve. I suggest to wait a year or 2. Great car, keep it.

Thanks for all of the replies, this was just for me to get some opinions from others on what you all think my car would be worth and this has given me some ideas. At this time I am going to continue with my plans with this car and come spring if I still have an itch to get the new ST I may try to sell the car and if I cant get what I want out of it I will switch everything back to stock and trade it in and sell all of the parts I have.

if you were going to sell it i would try and put it as much back to factory as you could... hard to sell modded cars

Drive it another year and enjoy it and buy a 2nd year ST which might have a few extra goodies added on for the '14 model and maybe even a little more power and a year to work out possible bugs.
