If you're using pure carnauba or synthetic waxes with no cleaners or polishing agents in them, you can use it every day if you want to....but that would be a waste. Put on a fresh coat when you notice water not beading tightly on the surface. That's not the only indicator but it's an easy one. Hint: only use microfiber.

opti seal is a sealant, not a wax. you really dont need to re-apply for about 6-8 months or so, just wasting product.

If you are using regular old carnuba based wax, every 3-4 weeks, as the carnuba wont last very long.

If you are using something with polymers(AKA sealant) then depending on the brand and the conditions the car is subject to, 6-12 months.

Matt, I read on AutoGeek that one can apply Carnuba wax over a sealant such as Surf city garage nanoseal. The sealant will provide the hard as glass look while the carnuba will provide a depth gloss. Would it be ok to do the sealant once every 4-6 months and the carnuba about once a month on top of it?

I wax about 4 times a year, with a bi-weekly wash.
