Mud flaps?

I have a stupid question. When I ordered my Focus I chose the option for the exterior protection package. The picture shows molded "splash guards" but my car does not have any. Is the picture wrong or did I not get what I ordered? Is this something that gets installed by the dealer prior to delivery? Seeing as they originally prepped the wrong car and tried to give us that one first (whole other story) I wouldn't put it past them to miss something else. Anyone know?

Yes that is a part of the exterior protection package. It is a dealer installed package.

Exterior Protection Package (Dealer) - $245
Front and rear mud flaps; Rear bumper protection

(you can select the trim/sedan/HB) option

That's kind of what I thought. So - my dealership is continuing its ineptness. . Should be an interesting conversation with them....

If they try to pull some BS saying you took them off...

check this thread..

See where in the pictures he posted where he is drilling into the wheel liner? If your car does not have a hole where he is drilling, you never had mud flaps installed. That hole needs to be drilled when installing the front flaps.
(that is the front wheel liners..the rear already have a hole from the factory)

Those holes were present on mine even though I've never had the stock splash guards put on.

If I remember correctly, the rear splashguards use the holes that are already there. The metal clips get installed where the holes are. The front splashguards use three original holes and you have to drill one hole.

Hi 1st Ford,

Keep me posted on how things go at the dealership; I'm happy to step in whenever you like and see how I can help.

Thanks,
Crystal

If you don't mind my asking what dealership did you purchase from, just curious. I bought mine from Saukville up by Port Washington only because they had what I wanted and haven't had good dealings with the ones in Racine.

The dealership is in a Northern Milwaukee suburb, I don't want to slam them personally. Yes it could have been an honest mistake but when added to the whole delivery issue it still is subpar in my book. Prepped the wrong car, gave us the talk and the keys when I discovered the wrong car. Then had to come back another day to get the talk all over again to get the right car since mine wasn't prepped. It did not endear us to them....

Can someone post a pic of a '12 or '13 HB with molded mudquards installed, or direct me to one. I'm considering adding them, but only if they improve or at the least don't hurt the appearance.
