so my wife tells me its time to be a man and sell my car and get something for the family =( so like it should be i will be letting it go after the new year and get the new Escape. and i just dropped 2000$ into maint. i have been hoarding parts for a while lol.which sucks for me i planned of having this car for a long time but i guess she is the boss

but my question is how much should i be trying to sell my car for?

so what i have as it sits right now. i will how ever provide a basic tune-up once bought and a good cleaning

2003 cd silver zx5 svt

K&N drop in
Eibach Pro-System

saleen shift knob
DRT cross drilled slotted rotors with ceramic pads (changed at 131k)

maint. all done at 132k
Luk oem replacement clutch and flywheel

In the title, you spelled wife wrong.

I dont suppose you can convince her that the 4 grand you'd get by selling it wouldnt be a worthwhile downpayment on a "family car"? I mean, if you're really lucky, you may be able to get 5k out of it... and if there's nothing wrong with the car now, that's worth keeping in and of its self, i would think... Good luck man, I hope your wife re-considers.

Maybe she could sell some shoes to help with a down payment? I mean, relationships are all about compromise...

List it for sale for a ridiculous amount knowing it will never sell at that price, thus satisfying the desire to sell (she) and the desire to keep (you).
