Debadged my new 2012 Focus SE Sport

I think it looks a lot cleaner this way. It was very easy to do and it only took me about 15 minutes.

I love the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum license plate that you can get in Alabama. It's one of the finest motorcycle museums in the world according to Jay Leno. The racetrack there, Barber Motorsports Park, is fantastic also. I love the way this license plate looks on our silver Focus.

Looks good without the badges... but usually the idea of debadging in the first place is to declutter... and with a license plate as busy as that, not sure anyone would notice the badges!

I know debadging is a personal choice, but it always makes me think it was a bodyshop that didn't finish a collision repair fully, or used cheap double sided tape.

Thanks for forever ruining the debadged clean look for me I do know what you mean, though, just never occurred to me.

I debadge because it makes it a lot easier to wax the hatch; it also visually declutters the rear of the car.

In my case, it didn't help that the OEM Focus emblem was pulling up already, either.

I saved everything for if and when I go to sell or trade the car. Did the same with my last car, as well.

Because debadging is something only younger people do. Right?

yep. of course the mid-life crisis guys might do it too . usually the debadged vehicles also have other modifications that suggest youth.
