E-brake light stays on
*I drive a 2007 Focus ST*
At first it was just intermittent, and touching the lever would cause it to turn off. Now it just stays on, and I have to push down pretty hard to make it go off, but it goes back on when I let go. I checked the fluids in the brake reservoir, looks good, and I had my pads and rotors replaced within the past year and a half all the way around, probably put about 25,000km's on them. The only thing I could thing is maybe the switch that sits under my e-brake lever may be bad, but I'm open to feedback!! |

So mote be it

id try to take apart the center console and play with the switch. there is also a tension thing you can adjust on the ebrake as well.
My brake light came on when i swapped to a new gauge cluster, so i just went with the black tape over the light on the cluster. |

Does anyone know how much a new switch would cost? I'm also having a hard time finding a part number for it.
