how do you guys run wires from the engine to the passenger compartment?

I am installing a cruise and i need to run wires to the passenger compartment from the engine. Hoe can I get them in there? Is there a trick?

Service tech told me, when questioning him about that very issue, was to drill a small hole and install a rubber grommet. The hole shouldn't be too big and there should be little, if any, extra space.

If you have an automatic the clutch line hole makes a nice easily accessed place to dill through. The plastic is easier to drill through and there is less chance it will chafe the wires.

I would still install a rubber grommet. They're less than $1

^^^ This and silicon, or something similar, to seal the hole. A little cheat to use silicon in tight places is to use a latex glove a spray with Windex, squeeze silicon onto glove, and install. The Windex keeps the silicon from sticking to the glove and it works great.

i would find some firewall grommets or run the wire's along a harness that goes through the fire wall and wrap it with electrical tape so it looks like no one was ever there
