Traction

I want to road race my car and was looking a Lakewood traction bars it seems like a drag thing but would it keep the front of the car pointed in the right direction in road racing application too?.

You still have the svt? If yes or any Zetec w/ a header the main bar that goes from the cradle to the new replacement rad. support wouldn't clear unless you mod the header to flex. Whats you been up to? I'd also add a torson diff= awesome. Have you looked at CFM's tubular control arms & their 4-point lower stress bar, thou's are great for more forward bite & have adjustable camber.

Yeah, still have the svt.. In its state of mass mod right now. Looking at front options .. I have the rear sorted..

I've never felt that traction bars were necessary when road racing. I understand traction bars are more to control wheel hop off the line. I believe putting your money into open track days/driving schools will make you faster than minor mods on your car will.

You don't need traction bars on the front to road race.

Learn throttle control and driving techniques and you will do fine. I don't run anything on mine but stock sway bar and 300 lb springs on the front. I could probably use a set of 500's up front to eliminate nose dive. I put 260/255 to the front tires also.
