SES Dash Upgrade

I have a 2009 Focus Coupe SE and am looking to make some mods to the interior to make it look a bit nicer. This is what I am thinking:

+ Replace the SE black plastic passenger dash/ airbag and steering wheel sorround with the SES version which matches the center console. *See pic

+ Install Factory Ford SES Ambient Lighting package. I found the OEM kit on ebay for $70. (ie. Lit cup holders, trim and footwells)

+ Replace my factory rubber basic steering wheel (w/o controls) with a used Leather one from an SES with steering controls)

+ Add chrome Focus door sills

+ Replace Stock gear shift knob with heavy brushed aluminium ball (w/ gear mapping on top)

+ Aluminum pedals

What do you guys think?

Hey, first post here. I'm getting tired of the silver in my car as well. When I bought it, it already had 42k on it and some interior issues. There's little chips and spots where the silver paint has faded and been scratched.

I was wondering if you bought the dash aftermarket, or if you painted it yourself. If you did paint it yourself, could you give some tips? It looks sick.

Thanks!

Its pretty str8 forward once the panel is off. I am not sure how to remove the panel but will need to figure out how by the time my silver one comes. The easiest thing is to take it to mako or a local paint shop. Probably would cost around $80. Or you can just remove the panel, sand it with 3 types of sand paper, clean the surface, apply primer, apply a few layers of the paint you want and let dry

i painted it myself, i just used plastidip, like yours mine had a few scratches on the passenger side (girls put their feet up, hate it) but the plastidip filled in the scratches, then i hand painted the focus blue with some model car paint lol, just be careful taking everything apart, dont be in a rush, and really care putting it back together so you dont scratch the new paint, o and

I found the passenger dash on eBay and will be installing soon. I also am interested in a screen and am looking into installing the oem Nav screen from the 2012 focus. Do you think it would work?
