Nitrous Question

Is this what I need to run a wet kit on my Zetec engine?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-04-Focu...item53d6668254

I think this goes into the end of the fuel rail, on the end opposite the fuel inlet.

Thanks,
Joe

The ebay link scared me, until I seen the CFM logo.
Yes that is what you need.

Just so I know how this is going to work before I start.

I connect the CFM thing to the end of my fuel rail. Is there going to be something in the N2O kit to plug into the CFM?

Also, I would like a nicer looking fuel rail. If I go with a OBX or other fuel rail will I need the CFM? I think the aftermarket rail allows for N2O connections.

Any help would be appreciated. Product recommendations?

Thanks,
Joe

You'll still have to buy an adapter, although it will be different than the CFM piece. It will be some form of AN reducer.

The CFM adapter sits on top of the fuel pressure sensor that sits on the fuel rail.

Help

I was looking at some Zex N2O kits. This is a quote from Zex

"In addition, ZEX's exclusive throttle-position sensor switch "learns" the voltage curve of the engine's throttle-position sensor to activate the system consistently at full throttle. ZEX systems come pre-assembled and tested, for easy installation. There are no brackets to install or microswitches to adjust, and jet changes are easy, too. "

Does it somehow connect to my TPS? Hmm... I see TPS switch, maybe a switch that comes with the kit that mounts to my TB?

Anyone?

Also, on a wet kit where do I inject the N2O?

I was told right into the fuel rail. I believe from the driver side of it. Is this correct? If I go into the fuel rail then I shouldnt need to spray extra fuel into the rail with N2O, should I?

I looked at some setups and some have it like this:
Adapter on fuel rail to feed Fuel solenoid
Then Fuel and N20 jet pluged into the CAI right before TB.

I want to do this right. Can someone steer me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Joe

Found 1 answer.

Our nitrous kit utilizes a wire that you simply clip on
the throttle position sensor (TPS) output voltage wire.

Yea

You get the fuel from the fuel rail , then the nozzel with the fuel and nitrous goes into the intake piping aiming so it sprays straight down through the TB and into the intake

Tom,

I thought before when I asked you, you said to inject the N2O right into the fuel rail? Maybe I misunderstood.

Here is a article I found on hooking up N2O to a Zetec Focus.

Thanks,
