Mine

Here are mine from August and September. I posted them in other threads back then, but can't let a Blue Candy thread pass without repeating them. First four are from Stanley Park in Vancouver, last two from Banff National Park in Alberta.

Heres mine. Unfortunately after only 3 days it got hit in a parking lot. I had to have the rear bumper replaced and the dealer went over and above trying to match the color, but it still looks different in some lights. Something about the new color was just a pain to match. They even sent a part of my old bumper out to PPG for them to try and match it.

gullwingdmc it looks like a pretty good job to me, it perhaps looks a touch more green? But I would not have noticed if you didn't say.

Now that makes me feel better, that is the original. Here is the replacement.

The body is original, the bumper is the dealers best attempt and the card is the PPG mix. In daylight it all looks good. At night under the yellow parking lot lights the bumper looks way lighter.

Blue is my fav color, and who doesnt like candy lol! I will get some pics up soon hopefully, but it is snowing every other day just enough to get the roads wet and dirty up the paint...plus its dark here by 5pm, and well, you know...

At least yours isnt too light (or maybe you think it is?). Our dealer did the same thing, trying to match it perfectly, but I told them that is impossible as there are rubberizers in the paint for plastic applications. At most angles ours is too light after the accident repair (from the factory the plastic bumper covers are too dark at certain angles), but we cant get it repainted because the insurance co.. says that its the same color and there are no actual defects in the paint job..

BTW NICE combo, the wheels look great on Blue Candy...Now just tint those windows to match the wheel look completely!

Well they get to take another crack at it as my car was hit again today, again in a parking lot and on the bumper. Maybe this paint job will be better who knows.

Thank you. I really like those wheels on the titanium in our color.

That really sucks that your car was hit after only having it for 3 days, I do kinda of see what you are talking about in your pics, but your dealership did an excellent job of fixing your car!

I do know the pain of having your car hit first hand, my 2013 Focus Hatch, Candy Blue was hit by a drunk driver about 6 weeks after I purchased it. The idiot then left the scene of the accident while I was in the ditch, and they still have not caught him. I do have pictures that I will upload shortly of the aftermath, and then after the car was fixed.....$6000 in damage was done. The right side of the car took the brunt of the damage, destroying the tie rods, ripping off the whole front bumper, etc.....collision at 60mph.

Things happen, but that was not a fun experience. My body shop seemed to be able to match the paint pretty well. I have not been able to see a difference in the paint color. However, I have noticed a slight difference in the front right door alignment. After the wreck, that door could not be opened, at this point it looks perfect, but the other day the light hit it just right and I noticed that it is off just a tad. It is not flush just perfectly. I may call them and ask about this, but the rest of the vehicle where the damage occurred is perfect, so I am not sure if this is just how it is or what. It is hard to see, but I will try and capture it in pics to upload for you all.
