4 door SVT?

http://www.nlclassifieds.com/classif...ks/Ford/696377

There was a 4 door SVT?

I thought they were only 2 door.

To the best of my knowledge there is only 1 other of those cars here on the island.

Yup. Most people refer to them as 5-door and 3-door versions, the 4-door name is generally reserved for the sedan. Really the only difference between them is the extra set of doors. The chassis and dimensions are all exactly the same between the two Svt models.

Plus the three door likely has a stiffer/more rigid frame/body which is preferred in racing.

They actually put a beefier suspension on the 4door, the only advantages the 3door really has is weight and shorter wheel base.

How hard would it be to "clone" a 3door?

IE....buy a regular 3door and then swap engine/tranny/ecu.I wouldn't need any of the interior/gauges etc.

Do those engines still pop up for sale from time to time....or are they getting rare?
