Mountain bikers??

I am looking for members that ride. I have been a rider for a long time, got out of it for the past 8 yrs. but got back in 2 mnths ago. so was wondering if members do much of it. places they like & ect..

This is weird 2 mountain bike posts in a row. lol Ive been riding bmx for 6 or 7 years, and I just started messing around with mountain bikes 2 years ago. I mainly ride mountain bikes in the fall and winter. I have an old Gary Fisher Mullet. I always thought it was ironic because I had a mullet in elementary school, and I believe my helmet is a 661 mullet.

Yes I'm a Mountain biker. Got the bike I own now in 2007 and have been addicted ever since. I have been doing a lot more lately after I got my bike rack for the car and have been exploring a lot of the Western edge of the Adirondack State Park in New York. There are a lot of great places to ride if you know where to look.

what rack you get? i got 3 different ones & did not like any of them. i did not like how the stramps rested on my wing. i hate to see the paint scratched or rubbed off. also the hook dig n to the paint. so i put foam on them.

I use a hitch mounted rack. They are the best because, if it's a good one, nothing ever has to touch the car and it takes as long as hooking up a trailer to install.

Now, the one I have cost about $30 from Harbor Freight so it is definitely not the best and between my dad and I, we have altered or rebuilt just about every part of it. But know that it is fixed and customized for my bike, it works great.

Here's how it came out of the factory:

If you look close, you can see that I still run a strap across the rear window for security after the bottom pin that hold the rack upright failed awhile back and landed the bike partially in the dirt. Fortunately, it failed in a driveway and didn't damage the bike too much.

Nice mod wrk. I was looking into a rack. but i am planning on a custom way to hide the reese part behind the bumper. so once the rack is off you will not see that square peg hole.

Thanks, my dad can get most of the credit because he is the one who can do the metal work.

If you plan on only carrying a bike, the hitch can be tucked way under the car and it is not very noticeable at all, but covering it up would still be better. Let me know what you figure out.

ok, well getting to it now.lol. i was in Brown County Aug 28th, had a bad crash. broke ribs 6 & 7 on Aines, right out of a rock garden.

but this is what i started today for my mach up.





how I got my ideas.
this is from sea sucker site. this bike kit is 260.oo. but holds a lot of weight.lol


idea on what i want to do with my hitch. keep hidden
