What other cars were you considering?

What other cars were you considering before you got the Ford? I thought about 2001 Miata, 2003 Mazdaspeed, and a used 3 series. I had a huge list but these were way up there.

Tell me about it. Other cars were the SVT Contour, the SE Contour, regular Focus models, Pontiac Vibe GT, Toyota Celica GT-S, Volkswagen GTI, Mazda Protege 5, Honda Civic Si, Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, and yes, Dodge SRT-4. And that's just the ones that I seriously considered. There were so many others that I liked but couldn't afford or decided against.

The Protege 5, VR6 Jetta. The only reason I went with the Focus was it handled better and was quicker feeling than the ATX Protege 5. The jetta was in the deal office when it was hit on the lot. It was used and I opted out of it.

93 5.0 Ford Mustang (quite a switch from a focus), Ford Ranger, Pontiac Grandam GT, Honda Civic Si, Mitsubishi Eclipse Coupe (old body style), I didnt get to go really look around at cars in my price range since i got my car about 3months before I thought I would. Got the focus basicly cause it was about the cheapest, best gas milage and I wanted a ford and newer car (didnt feel like fixing past problems encountered when buying a used car).

2003 Civic Si
2003 SRT-4 (I dont care if it's a Neon, when they dyno at 246 WHP completely stock you can make fun of me all you want)
2004 WRX

The WRX was just a bit to expensive at the time. I didn't have the patience to wait for the SRT-4 that I wanted, and the Si just didnt impress me after test driving it.

At the time, it was either a GTI or a new Cougar.

The SRT was considered a better buy by Edmunds than a SVT ZX5 so I'm not going to say anything. I'm you opted for the Focus, Fabster.
